SUMMARY: If you have a sales background coupled with a degree in a Life Science or related field such as Biology, Physiology, or Neuroscience, Sable Systems International would like to talk to you. TITLE: Regional Sales Manager

HOURS: Full-time

LOCATION: Las Vegas, NV (20%-40% Travel)

REPORTS TO: Director of Sales and Marketing

KEY ACTIVITIES:

  • Present and sell company products and services to current and potential clients.
  • Achieve sales goals as set by company management.
  • Territory management, prospecting and building key accounts. Grow sales by establishing, developing and maintaining strong relationships with customers in assigned territory.
  • Communicate in a timely manner with SSI customers to obtain sales orders and ensure that the solutions provided by SSI work successfully once the buying decision has been made.
  • Identify and assist in resolving client concerns.
  • Follow up on new leads and referrals.
  • Utilize company leads to expand current customer base and follow up all leads promptly.
  • Qualify and prioritize new and existing sales leads and opportunities within Salesforce.
  • Research sources for developing prospective customers to determine where potential sales leads are most likely to be found.
  • Establish and maintain current client and potential client relationships.
  • Develop and create customized, clear and effective written proposals/quotations for customers to meet specific customer requirements efficiently.
  • Manage all customer interaction and activity by utilizing SalesForce to record data in a timely and accurate manner.
  • Present technical and competitive information in a clear, concise manner.
  • Coordinate sales efforts with development, operations and internal sales at SSI to determine how existing SSI products and services could be adapted to best meet customer needs.
  • Keep current with product applications, technical services, market conditions, competitive activities, advertising and promotional trends through the reading of pertinent literature and consulting with SSI Marketing and Customer Service areas.
  • Communicate new product and service opportunities, special developments, information, or feedback gathered to appropriate company staff.
  • Stay up to date on market conditions regarding products, product updates, service offerings and new technologies through available resources.
  • Attend and help plan local, national, and international tradeshows and seminars as required. Promote products at trade shows, conferences, seminars or conventions.
  • Assist accounting with collection of payment when necessary.
  • Assist in gathering information for shipping schedules and delivery of merchandise and services as required.
  • Identify customer needs for technical support or training and communicate required actions to SSI Customer Services & Technical Support.
  • Maintain and continually update the customer database in Salesforce, including forecasting, customer history, and key contact information, etc.
  • Other duties as assigned.

EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS REQUIRED:

  • Bachelor’s degree in a Life Science
  • Excellent written and verbal communication in English.
  • Proficient with use of computers
  • Motivated self-starter with the ability to work as part of a team as well as independently.
  • Positive attitude with the ability to make cold calls when required.
  • Ability to Travel up to 40% of the time.
  • Solid critical thinking and problem solving abilities.
  • Strong presentation skills with the ability to develop and deliver presentations.

DESIRABLE:

  • Bachelor’s degree in an Engineering or related field (Biology/Physiology) will be considered
  • 1-4 years of laboratory experience
  • 2-5 years of experience in a sales environment, preferably a technical instrument field
  • Strong drive, motivation and potential for success in capital equipment sales will be considered
  • Demonstrable experience creating, developing and closing sales in an assigned territory
  • Experience with Salesforce CRM is a plus
  • Creative thinker with the ability to bring new ideas to the table.
  • Bi-lingual is a plus

TITLE:Technical Support Specialist

HOURS: Full-time

Your Qualifications:

  • A Bachelor’s degree in a science or engineering related field or equivalent level of experience. Business education or experience a plus.
  • A minimum of 3+ years of experience in technical and/or field service in a technical instrumentation organization.
  • Willingness to travel (worldwide). Some travel requirements may be on short notice.
  • Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with a diverse customer base and co-workers is a must.
  • Must be able to lift 50lbs.
  • Must be able to use standard hand tools associated with electronic equipment and installations.
  • Must be able to troubleshoot effectively using measurement tools, devices, and electronic test equipment (ex. Oscilloscopes, Multi-meters, Calipers, Power Supplies, etc.)

Your Responsibilities and Tasks:

  • Install electronic measurement instrumentation and systems at customer facilities.
  • Ensure correct operation and functionality of installment.
  • Train customer-selected personnel in the use of instrumentation including both the acquisition and basic analysis of the data produced by the system.
  • Provide timely technical support to customers regarding system operation and maintenance, via email, remote computer sessions, or at customer site.
  • Strategically promote, educate and market SSI services to customers.
  • Accurately maintain computerized customer installation/service, and technical support records.
