Pelt-Plate Overview Print

thumb_peltplate.jpgThis useful device can regulate the temperature of its top, heavy duty, thermally coated aluminum plate anywhere between -5 and +60 °C. It holds temperatures with an absolute accuracy of 0.2 °C, and to a constancy of 0.01 °C RMS or better. The PeltPlate uses Proportional-Integral-Derivative (PID) temperature control for the most precise temperature control.

Such devices are often referred to as cold plates, chill plates or controllable temperature plates. Using NASA technology, the PeltPlate's solid-state heat pump moves heat into or out of the aluminum plate until its temperature precisely matches the setpoint. The PeltPlate has no moving parts apart from one precision, ball bearing fan of German manufacture that will last almost indefinitely.
