The Sable Systems SS-4 Subsampler is designed for pushing or pulling a gas stream through one or more gas analyzers. Usually this sample gas stream is sub-sampled from a source with a higher flow rate.

The SS-4 Subsampler unites a pump, needle valve and linearized mass flow meter of the highest quality into a tough, compact, instrument that will give years of service. It is equally at home in the laboratory or the field, and its individual features can be used alone or in any combination. 

The SS-4 Subsampler's linearized mass flow meter covers the range from 0 to 2000 ml/minute. The flow rate is displayed on the SS-4's two-line alphanumeric display. The SS-4's diaphragm pump is a high quality, quiet unit that is adjustable over a wide range using PWM (Pulse Width Modulation) that minimizes power consumption and diaphragm wear, and lengthens the life of the pump motor.

All of the instrument's functions are accessed via an intuitive user interface. The SS-4 is extremely easy to operate. All adjustments and settings can be stored in internal memory. Powerable from uncritical 11 - 16VDC, the SS-4 Subsampler is supplied with a universal 12VDC power source.

Five analog output ranges are selectable from easily accessed menus on the device or via RS-232 commands. And due to Sable Systems' open serial protocol, the SS-4 is easily integrated into any data acquisition setup whether digital or analog.
