Lifetime Technical SupportSable Systems instruments and software are supported by the best technical support in the business, by far. We do ask you to bear in mind that our products are intended for use by scientists, researchers and trained technicians. Most or all products can also be used in a teaching environment with suitable training of the students by on-site personnel. Sable Systems International offers free technical support to personnel who have training and background in science and/or laboratory practice. Examples include professional researchers, graduate students, postdoctoral associates and laboratory technicians. The Clear Bright Line: Free Technical Support vs. Training. In order to keep requests for technical assistance within manageable limits, we request your cooperation. In particular, we cannot offer assistance on matters not related to our products, such as how to copy files, add, multiply, divide, subtract, or follow basic instructions and diagrams. In addition, we cannot offer no-cost general training in science and/or laboratory techniques. If you are still learning, but as yet unqualified with laboratory instrumentation, we cannot give you the required background in a few 'phone calls. For example, a first-year non-science undergraduate student without adequate training in computer or laboratory skills cannot and should not be expected to set up and manage data acquisition from a complex instrumentation system. If such a person is placed in an inappropriate position by a supervisor, we cannot work miracles, and must ask that an appropriately trained person be found to set up, supervise the equipment operation or analyze the output signals. Please bear in mind that our language of instruction is English. If mutual comprehension is difficult or impossible, we regrettably cannot provide you with technical support, although we would assist you if we could. Hazardous chemicals. We recommend that certain scrubber chemicals etc. be used with our gas analysis and respirometry systems. We cannot ship these because of regulations governing the shipping of hazardous substances. If the end user obtains these chemicals, it is his or her responsibility to obtain the requisite Material Safety Data Sheet (MSDS), and further, to read and understand it. We will be pleased to offer assistance and advice if needed. Damage to instrumentation caused by sloppy handling or misuse of chemicals is explicitly excluded from our warranties and may require extensive repairs. Fortunately, although miracles are out, solutions are in and our technical support staff does offer various solutions for the inexperienced yet committed researcher or technician-in-training. The first is a classic and cost-saving suggestion: A. If you require technical assistance, let the experienced or inexperienced follow these steps:
The above is the most effective "first line" game plan - whether you are requesting our free technical assistance or whether the level of education you may need requires more extensive training than is offered by the Technical Support guarantee: B. Cost-based Training available: Alternatively, we are willing to provide the appropriate training on a appointment-scheduled, fee or personalized contract basis. There are two forms of training services; training courses are planned soon: 1. On-site set-up and operations training of one to four individuals. We will deliver and set-up your system at your chosen location and train in the use of the equipment. The cost of this service will depend on travel and per-diem base costs and will be budget-sensitive. 2. E-or telephone training. Cost may be mutually determined based on frequency or on a flat-fee unlimited-training yearly contract. 3. Training courses where you are welcomed to Las Vegas! |
