High-Throughput Respirometry for Metabolic Screening
The respirometry course – held in Las Vegas, NV – teaches participants how to use indirect calorimetry in metabolic screening. We will apply techniques for measuring real-time O2 consumption, CO2 production and water vapor loss for laboratory rodents. Measurement systems also include food & water intake, body mass monitoring, wheel running and voluntary activity. Data analysis is a signiἀcant focus.
Hands On: The course leads participants through all steps of setting up apparatus, conἀguring data acquisition, acquiring data, and analyzing data with the Promethion metabolic screening system.
Cost: $2,695 per participant. Included in this fee are all laboratory costs and course materials.
Course Materials: All coursework materials are provided including copies of all presentations.
An Introduction To Animal Respirometry:
The respirometry course – held in Las Vegas, NV – teaches participants how to measure metabolic rates using indirect calorimetry. We will apply techniques for measuring real-time O2 consumption, CO2 production and water vapor loss for subjects ranging from small invertebrates to large mammals. Participants can work with single animal and high through-put systems in both open-flow and stop-flow.
Hands On: The course leads participants through all steps of setting up apparatus, configuring data acquisition, acquiring data, and analyzing data both manually and automatically.
Cost: $1,995 per participant. Included in this fee are all laboratory costs and course materials. Early bird rate of $1,745 if registration and payment are received by May 4, 2018
Come visit us at the Society for Neuroscience Meeting, booth #804, to learn more about our high-performance systems for behavioral and metabolic measurement. We will be featuring our new Promethion Core™ System – learn about the first and only metabolic and behavioral measurement system that utilizes modern digital and computer technology to deliver the highest resolution data, regardless of study size. Our system enables greater statistical power with fewer animals and simultaneous testing of more hypotheses. Stop by our booth anytime 9:30 am – 5:00 pm to learn more!
