Please join Sable Systems and our partner, Inside Scientific, for the next presentation in the Animal Behavior webinar series “Comfort Food: Effects of Stress and High-Fat Diets on Neuronal Activity and Mitochondrial Remodeling in Mice”. The webinar will take place Tuesday March 9 at 1:00 p.m. EDT. The registration link is below.
Speakers
Julio Ayala, PhD, Associate Professor, Vanderbilt University, Director of the MMPC Body Weight Regulation Core. Dr. Ayala will present his research entitled “Obesity and the Metabolic Response to Stress”. This presentation will explore potential neuronal mechanisms regulating feeding behavior in response to stress and how these mechanisms may be affected in obesity.
Matthew Robinson, PhD, Assistant Professor, Oregon State University, Co-director of the Translational Metabolism Research Laboratory. Dr. Robinson, will present his research entitled “Remodeling of Skeletal Muscle Mitochondria to Dietary Fat and Exercise”. This presentation will discuss on-going investigations into mitochondrial protein remodeling to nutrient and exercise demands.
There will be a short Q&A session following each presentation.
