DESCRIPTION
ExpeData software allows the user to control Classic Line hardware, acquire data, and explore the data in a rich graphic environment.Â
Data Acquisition
ExpeData acquires data from analog sources (via UI-3) as well as direct serial connections provided by Sable Classic Line instruments. The software manages the data channels and sampling rates needed for all classic line systems. It can be set up to trigger and control the hardware during recordings, including baseline switching and chamber multiplexing routines for multi-animal experiments.Â

Data Analysis
Data sets are displayed in easily understood visuals to show patterns, trends, relationships, and outliers. Statistical analysis is available including most simple statistics such as correlation, ANCOVA, and regression analysis.Â
There are even conversion functions relevant to metabolic research like dew point temperature, water vapor pressure and temperature unit conversions.
All data are stored in raw form, so that it is fully traceable and can be provided to peer reviewers. Raw data storage also allows for future analyses to be performed on a previous experimental run ensuring versatility of your data and experimental time. To expedite data evaluation and improve consistency, automated analysis scripts can be recorded and then repeated on multiple data sets.
Data Export
The data can be exported to Excel or CSV. Due to the open specification of the native ExpeData file format, the data can also be incorporated into other analysis packages.Â
