DESCRIPTION

Sable Systems ExpeData, MetaScreen, CaloScreen and SableScreen software applications provide unsurpassed data acquisition and analysis of your study.   Software packages include a single license of two separate programs – one for data acquisition and another for analysis – that can be run on separate computers, enabling a technician to run a test while an investigator analyzes another data set.  Systems require only one acquisition and one analysis software license, reducing expenses associated with software licensing and simplifying upgrades and updates.

ExpeData

The Promethion data analysis software package, ExpeData, allows the user to explore acquired data in a rich graphic environment where each parameter of the system has been recorded once per second enabling real time analysis or user-selectable temporal resolution for comparison to previous research. ExpeData automated analysis scripts can be run on data sets to generate customized data outputs allowing same analysis to be performed on multiple data sets in minutes, not days. All data are stored in raw form, so that all Promethion data are fully traceable and will stand up to peer review. Raw data storage also allows for future analyses to be performed on a previous experimental run ensuring versatility of your data and experimental time.

MetaScreen

MetaScreen automates the acquisition of metabolic, intake, and activity data from up to 128 cages in a multiplexed system under single computer control. Engineered to be simple and user friendly, it is also highly flexible and configurable. Each test setup can be saved and recalled, simplifying setup and reducing time between tests. MetaScreen displays all metabolic data in real time for quick reference during your experimental run. Cages can be configured individually to support any combination of Promethion sensors, and all components of the system are synchronized into a single data stream – in real time – automatically coordinating behavioral data rather than manually combining individual data streams.  All data from all sensors is backed up by recording to hard disc every second ensuring that your data are secure.

CaloScreen

CaloScreen is the main data acquisition software for Promethion-based human respirometry or room calorimetry. It is designed to record a single subject, along with background baselining, and is often used on humans or large animals such as cows or horses. It requires a GA3m2, FG-250 and FS-1 to operate. It also supports the ACI-12m3 for analog data acquisition.

SableScreen

SableScreen is highly flexible data acquisition software that can be used with a wide range of Promethion hardware. It is generally used for continuous systems with GA3m4 gas analyzers, FR-4b flow generators, and mouse or rat cages, with full control of AC-2 access control doors. It is paired with the SableScreen Real Time Display for real time data viewing, and can record to either the ExpeData .exp file format or to the SQLite .s3db format for use with the Real Time Display software.
