Professor Shingo Kajimura presented with the 2024 Sable Award

Sable Systems International is happy to announce that Shingo Kajimura, PhD, is the 2024 recipient of The Sable Award for outstanding contributions to the field of metabolic physiology. Dr. Kajimura is a principal investigator at Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center and a professor of medicine at Harvard Medical School. The award was presented on April 24th at the conclusion of the Metabolic Physiology Meeting 2024 held at Hilton Head Island, South Carolina. 

“Dr. Kajimura was selected for his pioneering work defining the mechanisms that determine thermogenic adipose tissue form and function in health and disease,” said Phillip White, PhD, meeting organizer. “I am honored to be presenting Dr. Kajimura with this this prestigious award and lecture.” The Sable Award is presented with a $20,000 honorarium and the winner is chosen by a panel made up of past and present keynote speakers and prior Sable award winners. 

Sable is honored to recognize Dr. Kajimura for his passion and expertise in the field of metabolic physiology. Next year’s awardee will be selected from this year’s lineup of speakers at The Metabolic Physiology Meeting. Welcome Sable Class of 2025!
