DESCRIPTION
The MFC-2 provides the precise, stable power and control signals needed to control two independent mass flow control valves or flow meters in a compact easy-to-use package. The MFC-2 is well suited for standalone or computer controlled applications where accurate flow control is vital, such as respirometry, process control or two-component gas mixing. Operation is intuitive and flexible, with all functions accessible via high quality rotary encoders.
Conventional flow meters and control valves are temperature- and pressure-dependent, making them unsuitable for critical work. In contrast, temperature and pressure do not affect mass flow control valves, which deliver a closely-regulated output continuously corrected to STP.
The two line alphanumeric display simultaneously shows the set and read values for attached mass flow control valves or meters. Two analog outputs allow the flow rates of attached mass flow controllers and mass flow meters to be read by data acquisition systems. A serial output allows logging of set-points and readings, and can also be used to control the unit.
The compact MFC-2 is highly accurate and will not contribute significant error to any mass flow control system. It runs on noncritical 9 – 18 VDC, and includes a universal power supply. Adjustments and settings are permanently retained in the absence of power.
