In June 2023, Sable Systems presented the course “High Resolution Metabolic and Behavioral Phenotyping” to an enthusiastic group of research professionals. This 3-day course featured classroom-style lectures, hands-on application training, supervised data analysis, and a closing segment on new techniques and approaches. Attendees learned how to utilize the Promethion Core system to obtain indirect calorimetry measurements synchronized with behavior measurements, including food & water intake, wheel running, and general activities such as walking or resting. The use of a metabolic treadmill and a stable isotope analyzer were also part of the training.
